I have been engineering and producing full time in the Bay Area since 1983. I ran a commercial recording studio in San Francisco's Sunset District from 1984 until 2000.
I presently work independently out of several different studios. I'm available to work anywhere that suits the project best. I can help you get into a great facility at a price to fit your budget.
My specialty is acoustic based music. I've worked on a wide variety of projects, Jazz, Blues, Folk, Bluegrass, Traditional Irish, Classical, Country, Latin, Ethnic, Pop, Rock, and Dance. I've done big band sessions, orchestral dates, large choirs and just about everything else.
I have access to and am proficient working in any major studio recording format: Pro-tools, 2" analog, ADAT, DA 88, etc. I own my own Pro-tools system, some world-class mics and other recording equipment to augment what's available at the studio I'm working in. For location work I can do a live 2 track mix straight to Hard disk, or record on digital multitrack to be mixed later in a studio. I'm available to travel anywhere when needed.
My focus has been helping to create an atmosphere where great music can flow. In my 25 years of experience I've enjoyed working on all types of music with all kinds of people.
